For communities interested in climate projections for their area,
SNAP can produce graphs of projections of mean monthly temperature and precipitation by decade from the present to 2100. These fact sheets, available for more than 350 towns and villages in Alaska, provide simple temperature and precipitation graphs with basic interpretation of the graphs. The graphs show mean monthly figures for three periods: 1961-1990 (actual historical data), 2041-2050, and 2091-2100 (projections). The data are based on global models used by the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change using a moderate scenario.
